What You Can Do

Support the Animals Themselves

  • Do not keep, buy, or breed wild animals.
  • Instead of buying any animal, adopt a companion animal from your local shelter. Millions of healthy companion animals are euthanized every year for lack of a home.
  • Volunteer at an accredited sanctuary, a local nature center, or a wildlife refuge. For volunteer opportunities visit the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service web site.
  • Donate needed items and/or funds for the care of wild animals at an accredited sanctuary

Get informed!
